PC Help
I’m writing this article to give you a little insight into common traps that appear on the Internet everyday. As soon as you recognize these scams, it will be much easier for you to avoid them. Have a look at these common cons.
Security Scan
This con throws an error that looks just like your legitimate virus software. The “warning” tells you that you have a virus and offers to fix it for a fee information to make you think it is legitimate. All ads that require money to fix a specific problem are tricks. As soon as you click the ad and pay them their money, you get tricked into thinking the software fixed your problems. At this point you have a worthless app that is only designed to fix the fake virus. Indeed, these applications can harm your PC by making your legit software stop working Now, you spent your money and caused more problems than you fixed.
Free products
I can’t stress this enough, anything that offers you anything for free is a con. Nothing is free, ever. Any type of message or an email telling you that you won or you have been selected for anything, you are about to get a flood of email. There is no UK lottery or Internet lottery, I promise. Also, I don’t like your chances of receiving the free iPod just for clicking a link and submitting your ship to address. Don’t fall for it and stop clicking everything you see.
Cheap medications
While the thought is nice, it’s not reality. While there may be reputable pharmacies in Canada, they did not send you email informing you of their big sale. Nor do they only sell products that some may be embarrassed to buy from the local Walgreens. After you don’t receive your product, they count on the fact that many people won’t file the claim with the credit card company. You will also notice they inevitably have a 30-60 delivery window, many people simply forget.
